Mindful Quotes

I feel that there are a mixed bag of feelings and opinions when it comes to life quotes, regardless of your opinion, you cannot deny that they are EVERYWHERE. Some come in the form of memes (which seem to have seeped into every form of social media), some in quotes from influential characters and others appear in everyday conversation. How many times has someone said to you, it will all seem better in the morning? Or even just a simple, life goes on?

Five Ways to Teach Mindfulness to Children

Five Ways to Teach Mindfulness to Children

Working with mindfulness has become a relatively new practice which I believe would have benefited my youth had I used it when I was growing up. Hydration is a term we often hear referred to when we are exposed to hot temperatures, or after exercise when we have visibly lost lots of water through sweat, but the reality is that we need to take on about 2.5 litres for men and 2.0 litres for women everyday regardless.

Mindful Tea - Practicing Happiness

It has been brought to my attention that I am distracted. Never before have I been so consumed by my phone; social media, the news, messages. The last thing I do before I go to sleep and the first thing I do when I awaken, involves my phone. I have found social occasions have become device-orientated. From pictures to messages, to updates, we seem to have become prisoners to them. For me, the real enjoyment comes from genuine human to human interaction. The distraction stops real interaction and we loose time where we could be doing something. Being connected to people in real-time is where I am truly present. I realised on Saturday morning whilst making a cup of tea, that the ritual of tea making requires presence.
